I have served on the church board for 1 year.
I grew up attending the Vulcan Church of Christ from infancy through my childhood and youth. Today, I continue to attend alongside my family—my wife, Ana, and our children, Caleb and Chloe.
My desire is to serve wherever I am needed. I am passionate about helping people come together in a shared vision, even amid differences in experience or opinion, because what ultimately matters is the God we serve.
A passage that is especially meaningful to me is:
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting."
- Psalm 139:23-24
It is incredible to reflect on the 100-year history of this church. My prayer is that we continue to carry the responsibility of living up to the standards set by the generations of members who have gone before us. There are far too many meaningful memories to choose just one, though one of the most often remembered is falling off the stage as a child.
What I appreciate most about this church is the foundation it has given me—learning about God and life through sermons and through the example of its members from a very young age. This church truly feels like home. It is even more meaningful now as I hear my daughter call it “Jesus’ house” every Sunday we arrive.
