Corey Ramer
Deacon
I have served on the church board for two years.
My spiritual life was shaped early by God's Word, as well as the influence of my family and friends. My grandfather, who was a pastor, had a significant impact on my understanding of faith and spiritual matters throughout my childhood and teenage years.
During my teenage years, I began seriously reading Scripture when my brother gave me a copy of the New Testament. I read it repeatedly and filled it with notes until the Bible eventually wore out from use.
I was also blessed to be part of a youth group surrounded by friends who encouraged and strengthened my faith. Later, I attended Columbia Bible College, where I continued to grow spiritually and build a strong foundation for living out my faith in practical ways.
A passage that continues to guide me is Matthew 25:35–40 (NKJV):
"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me."
"Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me."
My encouragement to others is to humbly serve, stay grounded in God's Word, and trust in His goodness.
I am grateful for the family, church, and community God has used to shape my life, and I look forward to continuing to serve faithfully wherever He leads.
