Diane Krystalowich
Treasurer
I have served on the church board for approximately 30 years in the position of treasurer. As I am an accountant, this is an easy role for me to perform on behalf of the church.
I have attended church all my life—first as a young child with my parents and brothers at the Champion United Church, then at the Champion Congregational Church. Once my boys started school, we began attending the Church of Christ so that they would know that their classmates also attended church and Sunday School.
For many years, I helped with baking cookies for elementary-age school kids at Christmas time, shopping for our “adopted” family from FCSS, and collecting school supplies for kids. I taught Sunday School when my boys were young. I have played my guitar and tried to sing for a number of years with a team of awesome women who met once a week for practice. It wasn’t so much “practice” as it was a time of worship for us.
The Church of Christ, to me, has always been family. Any needs could always be met with one phone call to someone in the church or one text to the prayer chain.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31-32
