Ron Wickstrom

Building Committee

I have been part of the Vulcan Church of Christ for 71 years—essentially my entire life. My faith journey has been deeply influenced by my parents, Stan and Betty Wickstrom, and my grandparents, Donald and Hazel Smith. They laid the foundation for my lifelong commitment to the church. Growing up, I watched my parents faithfully serve in many different capacities, always putting God and His church first. Their example taught me the importance of faith, family, and service, and it continues to inspire me today.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving on the building committee for 18 years and attending board meetings for the past three years. These opportunities have allowed me to contribute to the work and growth of our church family.

The Vulcan Church of Christ has been worshipping and serving together for 100 years. Through a century of joys, challenges, celebrations, and losses, we have remained a family united in Christ. I am grateful to be part of this legacy and to witness God’s faithfulness through generations.

As we look to the future, I encourage each of us to continue serving in the ways God has gifted us. No act of service is too small when it is done for His glory. May we continue to support one another, share God’s love with our community, and, as Jesus taught, “Let your light shine before others.” Matthew 5:16.
